One Law for All?

Just imagine there’s a multi-national Child Care organisation with it’s head-office in Italy.

Let’s call this fictitious corporation: VAT.

Parents around the globe entrust their children into VAT caring hands.

Indeed many of these parents were once cared for by VAT as children themselves.

A scandal then engulfs VAT.

It comes to light that there’s been a systemic sexual abuse at VAT facilities.

This abuse was not isolated, rather widespread, and went back decades.

When the scandal breaks VAT first denies the abuse occurred and where the evidence is substantial, it then attempts to diminish the crime by calling them ‘isolated’.

Investigations find that VAT tried to cover-up this abuse.

Once a VAT staffer was accused of molestation, rather than taking the accused the relative authorities, VAT officials moved the offender to another VAT branch, often overseas.

Where possible VAT attempts to silence victims families with payouts.

The U.S Division of VAT pays-out court induced abuse claims to the tune of 2 billion dollars.

VAT branches file for bankruptcy as claims mount and more victims come forward.

VAT’s own report reveals more than 4,000 US staff alone had faced sexual abuse allegations in the last 50 years, in cases involving more than 10,000 children - mostly boys.

Some of these staff go to prison for child rape, indecent assault and a whole range of sickening crimes against the most vulnerable in society.

VAT pays for the legal defence for it’s staffers facing child abuse charges.

VAT even provides some the convicted perverts, a job back with the company upon their release from prison.

By now you know where this piece is going.

Replace multi-national Child Care with multi-national Salvation Sales.
